Designer Car Trash Bag

Take a look at this wonderful trash can I made for my car!  My car is white with black interior.  I made this trash can to coordinate with my interior.  It hangs gently from the center console/shifter.  It could probably hang off the back of a seat behind a head rest.  This bag is made from scraps of decorator weight fabric, crazy quilted.  I attached a ribbon around the top and a vintage button on the handle.  I used a circular tube of heavy weight interfacing which sits inside the lined purse-like bag.   I attached this tube to the back center about 4 inches below the top at the center back so a bag can fit inside and over the top of the interfacing tube.  There is also some heavy weight interfacing sewn into the bag's rim to keep the stiffness of the opening.  For the plastic bag, a doggie poop bag is just the right size.  What do you think?  I just love it and my Beemer does too!

Today headed to Delaware to the Fabric outlets for some tax free shopping!  I will share with you my finds when I return.

Very, very cute and clever! I'm to the point where I don't allow trash to collect in my car! LOL Three boys can leave a lot if you don't make them take it out when they get out of the car! ps don't tell hubby's beemer, it will get jealous...i love riding in his car, it's so smooth and quiet!
have fun and great project

This would make a good thread catcher bag. Just a bit longer loop to tuck under the machine. Had to chuckle over the pooper scoop bag!

I see that you posted on taking lots of pics the next time you make one. Could I PLEASE beg for that to happen soon?? This would be a perfect Christmas gift for a couple of my family members. I too like a few of the above readers need step by step directions/pictures. Thank you sooooo much!
